Matty McBride

is an end-to-end product designer and collaborative thinker living between Brooklyn, NY and Seattle, WA with a passion for education, the arts, and mental and physical health. I work with a diverse range of clients to build thoughtful identities and strategic digital experiences with a focus on delivering social and data-driven products. For the last four years, I've worked as Senior UX/UI Designer for an agency that partners with global clients such as Microsoft, F5, Neighborly, and T-Mobile, as well as recently developing the design team's accessibility and sustainability platforms.

I also take on freelance projects, ranging from print design to community organization. In my free time, I like to go on long-distance runs, make music, and cook over-complicated meals.

Neighborly is a family of neighborhood services that operates nationwide. After five years of rampant growth, they came to my team for an update for their central homepage, a marketing site that we designed to quickly establish a warm, inviting, and professional brand identity, while moving people quickly through the Neighborly universe to the services or franchises they needed.

Infogain Redesign
Visual Design
When Infogain acquired Revel, they didn’t have any design ethos—they were a global engineering company that focused on highly efficient platform delivery, and had been wildly successful at it. However, Revel and our design team brought a new, human-centered touch, and when it came time to redesign our new parent company’s digital presence, the team worked hard to integrate our humanistic principles with Infogain’s digital innovation.

Cloud Free Trial Conversion

Our client, a global tech company based in Redmond, Washington, had advanced their cloud computing service to new heights in the landscape. However, as they have moved up the adoption curve into new markets, customer engagement started to drop, and free trial conversions slowed as a result. Customers further up the adoption curve needed to be presented with additional education and a simplified journey to a free trial. My team assessed their digital experience to identify ways the site could be streamlined, removing the hurdles potential new customers face when signing up.

My team partnered with Microsoft Enterprise Services to author and design a series of white papers titled Digital Conversations. Besides promoting Microsoft’s services and solutions, the Digital Conversations books convey critical thought leadership and expert analysis on a variety of digital transformation topics—from adopting digitalization strategies to streamline business operations, to embracing artificial intelligence and machine learning to better serve customers, to creating a more collaborative workplace to ignite innovation.
